Growing up

Jeremy's Journey has been taken over by a small little boy named Jasper. While Jasper is a huge part of Jeremy's Journey I think Jeremy needs an update of his own. 

Almost done with 5th Grade!!!  Where does the time go!!?!  Jeremy is an avid reader and loves to hang out with his friend. He is looking forward to playing French Horn next year in middle school and also singing in the choir. He hopes to also play in the Jazz Band by 7th grade. Jeremy loves to run and will participate in cross country and track in 6th grade. 

He just got his first skateboard and is excited to be improving each time he goes out to ride. 

He likes to stay close to home and close to mom but is venturing out on his own more and more. 

He loves to cook and says he wants to be a chef when he grows up...but then he changes his mind as quick as that and says he wants to play French Horn professionally or maybe work in a church.... It changes by the day!!!  

Jeremy is an awesome big brother and loves Jasper like crazy...little j feels the same!

I can't wait to see what adventures this boy takes me on. I love him...to the moon and back!

Busy Boy

Lately Jasper just wants to be outside ALL.THE.TIME!!! He loves to just walk around wherever he wants to go and explore. Lucky for him I love to follow him and watch him discover....dirt, rocks, car lights, airplanes, cars and trucks, birds and bugs and the moon (his favorite thing right now)...all the things boys love. 

However, he also has his sweet snuggle times inside with his blankets. Jasper is a happy boy. He is always laughing and playing, smiling and giggling! Except when he has to come inside. (-:

It's been over a year since my last post and it is so true....babies don't keep...Jasper is getting bigger by the second it seems. He still let's me rock him to sleep but I'm sure that will soon come to an end. I'll be sad but I'm so excited to see what adventures this little boy takes me on. 

I love him....to the moon and back!!

Babies Don't Keep

Mother, oh mother, come shake out your cloth!

Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,

Hang out the washing and butter the bread,

Sew on a button and make up a bed.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?

She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking!

Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue

(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby, loo).

Dishes are waiting and bills are past due

(Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).

The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew

And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo

But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.

Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue?

(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo.)

Oh, cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,

But children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby. And babies don't keep.

December 1, 2013, was Jasper James' Baptism Day. We were happy to have our family there for the occasion but missed Aunt Jodi, Uncle Larry, Connor and Christen and Aunt Julie.

Our best friend, Julie Pavone, is his Godmother. 

We are so blessed to have such a great friend in Julie and a wonderful family. 

At Light of Christ in Algonquin he was baptized as a child of God's forever.  We are so very thankful that God chose us to be his family here on Earth!
