On May 3, 2009, Jeremy and I went on our first “hike” in Illinois!!! Yes, it is more like a walk through the woods than a hike when you are use to Seattle but it was still quite nice! When I told Jeremy that we were going to pack a picnic lunch and go hiking he said, “But Mommy, where will we find a forest?” It is tough but not impossible to do in our state. We went to Marengo Ridge which is only about 15 miles from our house! We will definitely be back soon!
