Winter in March!??!?

If I block out the rest of this picture I can almost imagine I am in Seattle!
I hope the birds had not moved in yet...this same tree had green buds on it last week!!

I also hope these trees will recover from the thick layer of ice covered by really wet snow!

We woke up this morning to quite the winter wonderland! This same picture in November or December would have been very exciting!! Winter would finally be here....however, it is almost April and therefore this picture is very very depressing! I am positive that God forgot to turn the page in His calendar letting Him know that it is time for tulips, robins, green grass and warm weather!!!!! I pray that those days are not far away!

FREEZE!!!

I really truly wish that I could freeze time in this moment! This was taken at the wedding of Jeff's cousin Kristen last September. However, since I can not freeze time I will definitely save this picture to place next to the picture of him and I dancing at his wedding one day.....one day a long long long long time from now.

WINTER STORM??!?!

Just last weekend we were outside, playing at the park, enjoying 60 degree weather!  This weekend we are looking at a WINTER STORM WARNING!!!  We could see 2-3 inches an hour with up to 6-8 inches total.  Now, I know that it could be worse…we could be in Denver, CO, or Fargo, ND….but…WE ARE NOT!!!  It is almost April….we are supposed to soon see daffodils and tulips…not 8 inches of snow!!!  I really do wonder where all those crazy “global warming” people are getting their information…..obviously not from the actual weather outside!  I will soon have to move if the weather keeps up this way!  Anyway…here is to a great weekend of keeping warm!

Fun on a Truck!

My sister moved to Connecticut a few weeks ago.  One of the days that the movers were there loading the moving van Jeff took Jeremy over for a visit.  This would be the only chance Jeff would have to say his goodbyes and we wanted Jeremy to see all his cousin’s “stuff” going into the truck to help him understand the whole thing a little better.  Jeremy was just glad to play in the truck and the empty pantry closet!

I had to be reminded today by my mom that it was my dad's birthday...after a 10 minute conversation on the phone with my dad....I felt so silly!!! I hope that this little video that Jeremy and I made will make up for it.....a little...!!?!?!

I learned Something New!

I think that I have figured out how to post on my blog without having to actually log in to my blog to create the post. I am such an amature at this whole blog thing even though I have had my blog for a while….I guess it is always good to learn something new everyday! Maybe this will help me to post more often since I can do it as easily as sending an email! Stay tuned for more updates from Jeremy’s Journey! And enjoy these picture of Jeremy that I LOVE!!!

"Sad Days"

CRAZY COUSINS!
Every night Jeremy and I read from a book called, "Devotions for Preschoolers." It has a page for every day of the year and you are supposed to read the page for the day that it is and then there is a bible verse and a prayer. Tonight we read March 1. It was titled "Sad Days" and I thought it was appropriate for the day that the Backes clan flew to Connecticut for the final time. I will share the entry with you now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sad Days
Parker is sad. A friend is going away on a train. Did one of your friends ever move to another neighborhood? Maybe you were the one who had to move away and leave friends behind. When you are sad, you can pray. You can ask God to make you feel better. God wants you to talk to him when you are sad. He is a good listener.
My Bible Verse:
The Lord and King will wipe away
the tears from everyone's face.
~Isaiah 25:8, NIrV
My Prayer:
You listen to me when I am sad.
You dry my tears and make me glad.
