What a fun visit!

All the cousins....Olivia (2), Connor (8), Jeremy (3) and Christen (6)
Jason, Olivia and Julie (with baby on board!) We can not wait to meet the new little one in about 7 weeks! Will it be Hannah or will it be Montana??!!! Can't wait to find out!

Olivia loves the cozy coupe!
We had a short intermission in our visit from Jason, Julie and Olivia this weekend to take Jeremy to the hospital for an x-ray of his knee and a blood draw to test his blood for infection. He woke up limping and not wanting to straighten his right leg. The x-ray and the blood work was all normal so it must have just been a sprain or strain that is much better now than it was on Friday and Saturday. As you can tell from the picture....he did great at the hospital. He only cried when the needle went in his arm....then he was fine...what a brave boy!

Today We are All Hokies!

Welcome to the Family Montana!

Montana is the new addition to my sister's family! What a handsome boy!
Best Friends at First Sight! Christen told me on the phone yesterday that right when they walked in and saw the dog at the breeder she knew that he was the one for them! We can't wait to meet him this weekend!

Ice Skating!!?!

These are the tiny little ice skates that Jeremy wore.
This is Jeremy off the ice....he walked around on these skates very well.
Here is Jeremy on the ice....not so good at this and very afraid! Which is okay because I really could not keep my balance either!
It was way more fun to pretend to play this ice hockey game.
And when we got home from our first and last attempt (for a while at least) we had a nice stroll around the neighborhood in our wagon. At least I know that professional figure skating and ice hockey are off the list of future professions for Jeremy.

Aye Mattie......

I was just downtown Chicago at Navy Pier for a trade show for 2 days and 2 nights. At the client event that we (the state of Illinois) hosted we hired a guy to walk around as a pirate. Our event was on the Mystic Blue, one of the boats off Navy Pier. Hence....the pirate theme. Anyway, I had to have my picture taken with him to show Jeremy. When I got home I printed this picture for him. Then I went to pick him up at daycare. I also had a little tiny bag with some fake gold coins and gems and jewels. I gave him the picture when I picked him up from school and told him the pirate wanted me to give him some of his pirate booty! I think that he stared at that picture for hours over the course of the rest of the night...in complete awe that mommy was with a pirate on a boat and had lived to tell the tale! He kept asking me how I got away and why didn't the pirate try to keep me. I tried to tell him he was a nice pirate but it was hard to convince him with the picture I gave him.

Jeremy and his "Gwirl" friends....

Jeremy and Haley....Haley is in Jeremy's Kindermusik Class and he sees her every Monday night from 715pm-815pm.
Olivia and Jeremy....Olivia is one of our neighbors and she was born 4 days before Jeremy. They also go to the same daycare. Jeremy only goes 2 days a week and Olivia is there every day. However, Olivia was already moved up to the 4 year old classroom. Jeremy will not move up until September unless something changes with enrollment.

As you can see from the two above pictures....Jeremy got his hair cut this weekend very short....it is still growing on me...I think that I like the longer cut better than the short short.

Ahhh...Fresh Air.....Finally!

Daddy teaches Jeremy to swing the bat!
Jeremy actually hits the ball about 3 times out of 10.

Jeremy gets a ride in a motorized 4x4 but is afraid to go too far or too fast or to drive himself. He just wants to sit in the jeep.....and he thinks that I am going to drop $300+ on one of these for him....I think that he better think again!

Jeremy played basketball with Daddy and Marcio.
Jeff plays croquette for the first time in his life.

Jeremy snuggles with Miss Beth while mommy takes her turn in croquette.

All this fresh air makes us tired!!! We will all be asleep before 8 O'clock tonight!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today we had a cook out with our good friends Beth and Marcio. We had a very fun and active day outside playing. Spring is finally here even if it was only for the weekend! It will be 31 degrees again next weekend! But the sun is staying out until 730pm!! So, we know that summer is close!
My Drive to Work
This is our little downtown strip in the town I live in.
A farm....
Black Angus....
That building out in that field will be where Jeremy goes to Kindergarten. I pass it everyday on my way to work and think about how soon it will be and he will be there everyday...all day!
A farm....
A really cool old barn...
The view from my car most of the way to work when I am going about 80 miles per hour on the tollway. See all the corn fields and farms out there!
The main road on my way into Rockford once I exit.
My office at the bottom of the parking garage....notice the 7 foot sock monkey out front! I will try to do a post some time of all Rockford's cool 7 foot sock monkeys.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a post to show how out in the middle of corn fields and farms I live and to show those of you out there that live where it is warm and green why I can not wait for winter to be over so that I have some color to look at on my way to work. I will try to remember to do some similar shots this summer to show you that it can be pretty here in the Midwest!
