He Conquered the Water Slide!

Jeremy & Michael - Michael really wanted Jeremy to go on the water slide.....
Jeremy thought....oh no, there is no way!

He tried to tell me that he was not tall enough...that you had to be 42 inches...I disappointed him by telling him that he was in fact taller than 42 inches!

On the way up...he wasn't so sure about this....

But he pushed on....

Michael is ready to go!

There he goes! You can't see it but he is actually grinning from ear to ear!

Once he wiped the water out of his eyes he grinned and said, "I am totally doing that again!"

Thanks to some encouragement from a friend and a push from his mother....Jeremy has finally conquered the water slide! On the way home he kept saying, "I can't believe that I went down the water slide!" Then he told me I had to call Granny, Julie P., Jodi & Jason and tell all of them he went down the slide. He said that in the future he will "believe in me" when I tell him to try something that he will love! We will see....next trip...GREAT AMERICA!!!! We will see if he likes the American Eagle as much as I did after my mom forced me to ride it!

Weekend Camping Trip - - In our Basement!

Yes...that is a Wii remote in his hand. This was a camping trip where we also got to watch Netflix!

Daddy came down to visit for a little bit but did not stay overnight with us.

Even Bandit had his own tent inside of our tent and was able to enjoy camping with us!

Since we haven't been able to go camping for real this summer...yet....due to my ankle infection I decided to not let that stop us....we went camping this weekend...in our basement. We lasted until 4am and then, when I couldn't sleep due to the noise of the dehumidifier, we moved back upstairs to our bed.

What we've Been up to Lately....

Today we were at The Gardens of Woodstock and Jeremy go to "drive" the big motorcoach that was carrying 38 people that were visiting from Minnesota! The gardens are beautiful but my camera batteries died before I could get a lot of great pictures.


Jeremy and Patrick could play together 24/7! The each a very unique personality and their personalities fit together like a puzzle piece. The get along so well and there is never any fighting! Having Patrick over gives me a lot of time to do what I need to do...including laying around watching Glee with my foot up!

Jeremy helped me make Puffed Corn Crack for my Bunco night last night. He did a great job!

The Summer That Wasn't!

So far this summer hasn't been....With a foot infection that has kept me down since the beginning of June.....Jeremy and I haven't had our normal outdoor fun! I haven't taken many pictures that aren't of my swollen foot, iv bags and blood draw bruises or iv meds that I give to myself. So, I've gone back in the archives about 10 months and pulled out a picture that is one of my favorite of Jeremy from a time when we were in the outdoors much more than we have been lately. Hopefully we'll be back out there soon making some good memories of the summer of 2011 to replace the non-existent ones we have right now!
