We spend the day in Harvard, IL, enjoying some of the
Harvard Milk Days activities. This festival is the longest running festival in the state of Illinois! This year is the 69
th year and Jeremy and I were happy to be able to participate in some of it....even in the rain!

Ready for the parade!

Harvard was once a HUGE dairy farming community!

Here come the fire trucks!

Boy are they loud!!!

After the parade we went to the festival grounds.
Jeremy was able to see some great looking cows up close
and he even got to pet them.

This is "
Hermilda". She is the famous Harvard Milk Days Mascot!

He then rode a pony named Ozzie.

Finally, he enjoyed a few rides.
We bought some cotton candy on the way out
and the day was complete!
